Thanks for contacting me. The work camp in Nablus looks really
interesting. It was a hard summer in Nablus once again, though I
was mostly in Tulkarem.
Do let me know if you have any ideas on how I or others could help out
by joining you in Burlington at some point. As mentioned, I'm doing some
talks around the northeast featuring video, photos and maps. I'm
often joined by colleagues who were also recently with the International
Solidarity Movement (ISM). A number of those who speak with me are from
the New York City group Jews Against the Occupation (JATO).
I imagine that my friend Jonathan Elsberg who has just moved to Burlington
is the one who passed on the e-mail about me that you received. For
more info, below is a bio on me:
Patrick Connors has volunteered for eight months with
the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) in the West Bank supporting
non-violent resistance to Israel's occupation of the Palestinian
people. Prior to that he managed humanitarian aid programs for ten
years in the Middle East and Africa, including three years in the Gaza
Strip. With Masters degrees from Yale and Harvard's Kennedy
School of Government, he is an advanced Arabic speaker.
Again, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thanks,
Pat
