When: SATURDAY, JULY 23 8:00 PM TO 12:00 MIDNIGHT Where: ST. JOHN'S CLUB, BURLINGTON (directions below) What: BENEFIT FOR THE VERMONT ANTIWAR CONFERENCE IN SEPTEMBER $5.00 SUGGESTED DONATION Who: 220 MAIN (www.220main.com) 220 Main is a high energy dance band (rock n' roll, rhythm & blues 60's-current) featuring Colleen McLaughlin of Vermont Military Familes Speak Out/Burlington Antiwar Coalition/ImpeachBushNow. Why: For a good cause! "Cause we're trying to end the war/occupation and promote peace and justice! How: This will be a "non-political" event; the goal is to raise a little money for the conference in September while enjoying a fun evening of dancing and networking (no tabling, speeches, ect... altho' I may rant/rave a little bit 'cause I will be holding a microphone)! Directions: From Pine Street in Burlington...take a right (if your are heading south on Pine) (a left if you are heading North) onto Lakeside Avenue (Cumberland Farms store is on the corner of Pine and Lakeside Avenue). Drive down Lakeside Avenue all the way to the end, Blodgett Ovens will be on the right. The St. John's Club is right at the end of the street. The SJC overlooks beautiful Lake Champlain, has a back deck featuring incredible sunsets, the dance floor is big and the drinks are cheap!
