OK, so this is a real problem ... is there someone who can fix the 'configure'
so that config.h gets the correct defines?
Given that the sourceforge downloads page contains an ".el6." RPM which is not
configured correctly for el6 this is something that I believe should be sorted
out (I assume el6 in this case is designed for Redhat/CentOS 6.x).
