Yves, It could be that your isolinux.cfg file was somehow corrupted. There has also been problems in the past with certain BIOS chipsets reading the isolinux.cfg file. You could be running up against that bug.
You should be able to boot if you type the following line in at the boot: prompt... /boot/vmlinuz initrd=/boot/initrd.img boot=casper Cheers, Robert.
