I have a quick question about setting up two Vyatta routers (VRRP),
one as a hot stand by.
The problem is, I am only being delivered one ethernet connection at
the moment. Do I need to place a hub or something above the firewalls?

Current Configuration:

----ISP-----Vyatta-----Switch-----Users

Questionable Configuration:

               --,----Vyatta----,-----,
----ISP-----|h|                  | sw |----Users
               --`----Vyatta----`-----`

h = hub
sw = access switch

That seems to make some sense, but I really don't want to throw some
crappy hub inline :p
I do have n extra Cisco 2912 switch laying around I wouldn't mind
using, only if it would work in this type of configuration.
The access switch is a Cisco 2950 (24 ports)

Going forward I plan to get my own address block and AS number so I
can peer with my existing provider and another. But thats a story for
another day ;)

Let me know what you guys think!
