We hope to address the VRRP issues by the next major release expected in the 
first half of next year (aka VC4). We also expect to support QoS in the same 
timeframe.

You may also want to take a look at the Clustering feature on VC3, though it 
currently supports one backup node. I'll defer to expert users who may 
comment on potential conflicts on getting keepalived working outside the 
scope of the Vyatta CLI. Share with us any tips or tricks if you have 
success doing so.

Depending upon the QoS tools you are using, there may or may not be issues 
with respect to the Vyatta system. If you are using native IPTables for QoS, 
they may conflict with Firewall rules you may have configured within Vyatta. 
In this case you may be better off moving your Vyatta Firewall rules to 
IPTables. If you are using any bandwidth management or classful queuing 
tools such as TC, it should be fairly independent.
