Hi,
I'm very new to Vyatta (and routing) and I could use some help setting
up basic LAN routing between 2 subnets.
I have the following configuration:
eth0: 192.168.0.254
eth1: 192.168.1.254
each interface has a switch connected to it and each switch has
a number of end nodes attached.
I can ping nodes in each subnet from the other subnet, so the forwarding
is working between the interfaces - but I don't understand why!! :-)
I have been trying to follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide,

(Configuring Routing Protocols) to set up rip.
I used these commands:
set protocols rip interface eth0 address 192.168.0.254
set protocols rip interface eth1 address 192.168.1.254
but I don't know how to set up policies. What further steps do
I need to take to get rip configured correctly?

Thanks in advance,
Denis
