Good news for Debian users, w3af is already included in the
official repositories of the distribution!
http://packages.debian.org/sid/w3af
I think that in some short time this package will be ported
(automagically) to Ubuntu too, which will also be awesome. I would
like to thank Luciano Bello for all his work, dedication, patience
with my lack of experience in licensing and his Debian knowledge;
without him this would have been imposible! Thanks Lucho!
