One of the biggest TODOs that the w3af project has in order to
compete with the commercial scanners is Javascript support. Today I
was browsing around, and I found a python wrapper around v8 [0]
javascript (chrome's js engine). One of the demos they give in their
SVN is a browser [1].
If only I had more time to research this...
