Hello to the list,

I'm using Fedora 15 x86_64 and I tried to install the latest stable release
of w3af 1.0. Although I installed all the required packages (including
libxml2.x86_64 and libxml2-python.x86_64), when I tried to run either the
console or the gui, I received the error "Your python installation needs the
following packages: libxml2"

Then, since the installed version of python in my system was 2.7.1 and there
was a warning about that, I decided to install all the required software
from the sources.
Hence, I installed Python 2.6.7, libxml2-2.7.8, libxml2-python-2.6.8, etc.
However, after doing so, when I try to run w3af using this installation, I
still get the error: "Your python installation needs the following packages:
libxml2" (and of course, I don't receive the warning about the python
version).

Any ideas? Should I downgrade any of this software?

Thanks in advance

Antonios
