Interesting idea! As for me, I don't think that current w3af site is too 
bad :) But don't take this into attention because look on my home 
page...it is worse then w3af page!:)

What is more important for me is easy-to-use development platform: 
control version system, wiki (documentation), bug tracker, mail lists. 
Current platform is SF+Trac. It is too slow and horrible to use.
May be we may return to discussion of migration to something like github?
