Hello, W3AF!
We are new to W3AF and have some install questions.
Noting that windows was not well supported I set up an OpenSUSE box to use with
W3AF and some other tools we are looking at. After getting that set up I
started the W3AF install and it gave me a nice list of things to do and a
script for Debian. I looked around but found nothing about OpenSUSE/RPM support.
At this point I want to take the easy path - is there a script (or at least a
set of instructions) for OpenSUSE or if it best to switch to another Distro
before I get so committed?
I have a (rather old) box set up on Ubunto but found that the current Ubuntu is
almost hard to use because they hide so much - there was actually an install
for W3AF but it seemed to have issues. As you may guess, I'm more of a windows
guy but can struggle through Linux when I need to. So if I need to switch Linux
distro, which one would be best - it would just be used for W3AF and similar
tools.
What we are doing is looking at the potential for federating static and dynamic
threat analysis tools, we will keep you informed as that progresses.
Thanks!
