Made a late PM trip to the Narrows with my wife Gail yesterday hoping to repeat last Friday's action, in particular hoping to find some fish close enough in that Gail could reach them with her 5 wt. and limited casting abilities. Arrived about 4:00 to a veritable Waflyfishers list conclave, running up and down the beach chasing the actively feeding coho. Bill Hamilton, Rick Bell, John Abbot, Jeff Thomas, Charlie Mastro and of course Leland - leading the pack (both figuratively and literally). Apparently, we had just missed Gene Gudger (should 'ave been there later Gene!). Lots of fun though relatively slow and, overall, brief fishing. Managed to hook and lose one nice coho right off and then another right before leaving. The fish, unfortunately, never spent much time in close enough for Gail to connect, though there were moments of hope! Great time and especially great to meet old and new listmember friends. -Wes Wes Neuenschwander Seattle, WA [EMAIL PROTECTED]
