Hi Tony, Steelhead are scarce on the Skagit and Sauk - there was an early pulse but it's been pretty dead of late. Sky has been off & on - last weekend I know of three flyfishing boats that did the trip. Two were complete skunks, but the third played three fish. Landed one late hatchery below Sultan and hooked/played/lost two strong natives. Sky's probably the best bet from the reports I hear, but this latest pulse of water might recharge the Skagit/Sauk. I'm certainly hoping so - will be floating the Sauk on Sunday! BTW - saw Bob on the Sky a couple weekends ago. He was steelheading, but I think he was dreaming of troutfishing in southern climates! hasta, Brian -----Original Message----- From: Anthony Gades [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2000 6:40 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Steelhead? Hiya, Just back from NZ and expected to see messages about steelhead fishing while I was gone (last 6wks), but I did not get any. What has been happening with the Wild Steelhead? In particular on Sky, Skagit & Sauk? cheers, -tony
