FYI: I waded the Sky today (Saturday.) Had one on for about 30 seconds
before he broke free at the WDFW Public Fishing area on Ben Howard Road.
Never did get to see it. Struck a #6 Lady Caroline. Heard about some guide
(green hull, white trim drift boat)clubbing a 20+ lb nate for his client at
Two Bit; so much for rules. If the put-in on Ben Howard was any indication,
the river is extremely crowded; I counted 8 trailers in that lot alone and
watched an easy 16 boats float past me in 4 hours of fishing. Also tried the
Big Eddy area in Gold Bar for about an hour or so - nada. Good luck if you
go.
