On another Chan note:
Has anyone figured out where you can get acetate thread or floss? It was
called for in his recipe for a great looking chironomid in the last issue of
Probasco's magazine Northwest Flyfishing. If I remember correctly, Brian
called for the chironomid to be tied with the acetate, wrapped with silver
mylar for segmentation, then quickly dipped in acetone to melt the acetate
and give it a glossy look.
Maybe acetate's only available in Canada.
Let me know if you have a source for acetate.
