I've been fishing for steelies for 3 winters trying to get one and have not even had a bite, till today. At 10:15 this morning I had my first steelhead strike in fresh water, ( caught my only steelhead in the salt Jan. 1st this year) it only lasted long enough for me to see it jump once and was gone but it was one of the more thrilling experiences of my 53 years.
