Fished Rattlesnake last night and tonight and had a real good time both
nights, Missed 3 solid hits last night and caught and released one 13
incher. Tonight was even better missed 5 or 6 and landed 4, one as big as
last night's even a better fighting fish, taking line 3 or 4 times before I
landed him. Got a phone call from my fishing buddy while I had the fish on
but he couldn't hear me even though I was screaming " I got one on". Called
him when I got off the water and told him too bad he couldn't hear me when
he called that I was playing a fish when I answered the phone.
What worked? Woolly Bugger, green and black, bead head soft hackle, and
a woolly worm. All on clear sinking line trolled or stripped.
Word to the wise, the fish police are there and checking for bardless
hooks and power bait. She said she'd written 6 to 8 each day over the
weekend.
