Bill--

I was out there on Saturday afternoon and experienced the exact same thing.
I fished about Mile marker 21 or so and up near Cle Elum near some bridge
over a tributary, saw great conditions, but no fish. I had one tug on a
Prince Nymph (forced myself to ditch the dry fly) right before I took my 2nd
digger of the day (sometimes I wade a bit too aggressively and pay the
price) and my buddy also got nothing but a teeny 6" 'bow (and he stayed
dry). I fished from 4-7:30 or so, then had to get off the river to to the
fact I was SOAKED and cold! A beautiful day to be on the river though.

Wondering if anyone had the same experience I did this past Sunday......

Beautiful day in the canyon - minimal wind - lots of bugs (caddis, bwo) -
some killer drifts - a few rises - NO FISH !! Besides a few "chesters", I
couldn't get a take for the life of me ! Fished around mile markers 10 and
19 in the canyon from about 10 - 3 then decided to work my way back towards
Seattle by hitting a spot off the Salmon la Sac exit (Iron Horse State
Park). I spoke to a few guys who were experiencing the same things.

Was it user error or was it slow all over ?

bb
