In this era of virus d'jour, it's most certainly not a silly question 
- especially in light of the intense media coverage each succeeding 
bug has received.

The short answer is No.

Yes, there are some Mac-only viruses, but only a dozen or so have 
been identified during the past 4 or 5 years. All are easily 
detectable and can be neutralized by any of the current Virus 
prevention programs.

The answer to the question 'Why?' is way too long for this list and 
probably of little or no interest to the PC users who make up the 
bulk of its subscribers.
