Would it be wise to leave nothing
in the car and with the doors unlocked?
Rod cases can be a real temptation. Once I was fishing
in Japan and left an Orvis rod case with a gold painted lid in the back
seat. Someone smashed
my window to get in and get the gold lid, leaving a nice Buck knife,
a Hardy tackcle bag and two Wheatley fly boxes. I went to the police station
and the cops told me someone probably thought I was
a rich foreigner with gold fly tackle!! True tale.
