Keith, I'm afraid you're probably right. The conditions that would be required to grow big fish quickly are completely lacking in most of our acid lowland lakes. The only way it could be done would be with complete C-and-R regulations and we certainly shouldn't expect, even then, to have the numbers or sizes that are common in the desert lakes.
