Jeff,

Several of my friends just left for the upper Kenai for their annual trip.
  They absolutely hammer the fish on a red bead dipped in pearl nail polish
placed about four inches from the hook up the leader. Now is the best time
to target those fish, just look for the swimming stop signs and cast at them
the trout eat the eggs of sockeye. You will want to put a couple of split
shot on your leader about 12" above your beads.
