I had reports of 3-5 pound silvers and a smattering of blacmouth along the
beaches north of the bridge. I was there at 7am and was the only person,
including boats, on the water. I fished a charteuse, "if it ain't
chartreuse, it ain't no use", candlefish on a slimeline. I brought two
small silvers to hand and one blackmouth that I never saw, but felt good,
that came unbuttoned after five minutes. I saw only two jumpers and the
bite was from 7:30 to 7:45. Then I faced the dreaded return back across the
bridge and further abused myself by going steelheading.
