I just returned from Kodiak and the Island is suffering from a drought, all
streams are extremely low, salmon having a hard time making it upstream to
spawn. Our timing was of by about 2 weeks too late for the Pinks and a
little too early for the Silvers as only a few were showing off of the
beaches and in the streams. Had great time catching Dollies up to 4 lbs in
the rivers and overprime Pinks in the surf at the stream mouths.
We will be going back the first part of next month for the Silvers which
should be in the rivers and lagoons in good numbers.
