Pass lake was slow going for me on Friday. Brought to hand only one 18" bow.
I had two other fish peel off some line before becoming unbuttoned. Had
another whopper (20+ estimate ) that took (snapped off ) my fly about 5 feet
from the boat as I was fast stripping in. The water is still a bit pea-soupy
but fishable. There were several great blue herons standing sentinel on their
rock and log perches along the shoreline who seemed to be critically
observing us amateurs in our boats and tubes. At least I didn't hear any
snickering. It was a beautiful fall day to be on the water.
