Hello All,

Fished on both Friday and Saturday on the upper N. Fork of the Stilly. I
was about a mile downstream of Fortson. The river is so low there are
very few holes where the fish can rest and it is just a matter of
finding those holes. Found a hole with about 30 coho sitting in the pool
and quite a few steelhead holding towards the tailout on along the sides
of the pool. The hole was also full of whitefish and a few cutthroat as
well. Fish hard for 3 hours with no luck at all. Towards the end of the
day I took two nice 2-3 pound dollies but that was it.

Headed to the same hole on Saturday and still no luck as far as
steelhead were concerned. Again towards the end of the day I was
drifting a black wooly bugger through the hole and hooked into a 8 pound
coho. I guess I finally was able to get them a little agitated by
drifting flies throughout the school all day long. Was surprised to have
him hit a wooly bugger though. Landed him and let him go unharmed.

So over all not a bad couple days but I am sure itching to get that
elusive first steelhead under my belt.
