Is is difficult to launch at Umtanum? (I am assuming this is at the foot

The easiest float is from Umtanum to the "SLAB" recognized on the water by
the right cliff decending to railroad tracks level and a big, leaning pine
tree on the left that has a sign on it. There is also a small, rock island
just above the takeout. If you go from Ringer, there is a tough spot above
Bighorn at the old railroad bridge and then up above Umptanum a ways is the
rock garden. If the water is real low, it is easy to get stuck on big rocks
and you will "wack" a bunch of them. You could also go from Reds to Rosa
and have the same, easy water. Don't go any farther down though! Jere
