Spencer,
I would say head up to the Ringold area, in Pasco, (end of road 68 and turn
left). I was up on Saturday and saw a few others fly fishing. the runs are
the largest in a long while and should give you a great oppurtunity. As a
starting point look for the outflowing creek as it enters the river and walk
up river. The water isnt as deep as it looks(not as in wading but as in
fishing) and a floating line with a long leader(10') or a mid sink tip. I
fish it classic style cast out, and let it do the downward swing, and step
down, and try again.
It will be busy on the weekends, but you can just walk further up or down to
get away from the combat fisherman! The hottest part of the runs arent here
yet so it will only get better.

I appreciate the fact that you also posted the flies that you use. That
is a great help to some who doesn't know much of anything about salmon
fishing with a fly, like me. I am getting an 8 weight next week. And I am
dieing to fish for steelhead and salmon. Do you have any suggestions for
good fishing around the Tri-Cities?
