The bad thing about email is you can't read facial expressions or tone of voice. This
makes it impossible to know if someone is joking or serious. I, of course, was just
going along with the joke.
I won't make it down till maybe Thanksgiving. Your best bet for steelhead is Ringold
by Fly or if you want to use bait you can go up above Ice Harber Damn and use bobber
and jig. You are very limited over there. The Touchet and Toucannon have steelhead
in them, but the numbers are so few that it isn't worth the effort to go up and try,
at least it wasn't for me. I have pulled steelhead out of the Touchet, and lost one
on the Toucannon, but they were few and far between. If you want to make the trip
over to the Grand ronde you can hook into a great fall run if it isn't already over
with as of now. I think the B run you can still look forward to. Other than that,
you would have to come out west for more options. That is one main reason I got out
of that place.
Any questions just email me.
