Several years ago, fellow list member Bob Martin gave me a patch of
black bear hair, and some moose hair. I have experimented with the
moose hair, attempting to make bodies on dries and nymphs by winding it,
but it is too fragile and breaks. It is good for tailing on traditional
flies though. Any suggestions on use? Also, I have used the bear as
wing material, but have found no other uses. Anybody have a good use?
If so, please let me know. Salt or freshwater applications appreciated.
