Hellow fellow flyfishers,
My name is Dan and I am currently a graduate student at the University of
Washington. I get out flyfishing as often as possible (1-3 times a
week) and spend much more time practicing my casting than catching any
fish. I grew up in northern california and chased trout, steelhead, and
bass. I moved to minnesota for a few years and fished for trout and a few
northern pike. Spent a couple of summers doing research in the florida
keys and chasing bonefish and tarpon. I have been here in WA for a couple
of years now and still haven't managed to hook a steelhead (when I do I
will average 1 fish per 200-300 hours!! pretty good huh.) I will cast a
fly to anything that swims.

Right now I am fishing Chums and was wondering if anyone has any reports
from the Skagit? I was expecially wondering what the screwy flows (2500
in the morning and 5000 by 10:00) do for the fishing.

Dan
