Not going to be an enjoyable day for me. I accepted a work assignment and will miss Dave Whitlock at "Jimmy's" today. They have installed closed curcuit TV so everyone can see him tie. I was going to be the first at the door, but took a call last wk and didn't realize one of the assigned days was today! Darn! I also can't find the "Equatic Insect" book that he authored. I could have left it there with a note and he could have signed it. Dave does a "jumping fish", or a mayfly sketch along with the autograph! Doesn't pay to be disorganized in flyfishing!! I've got some of the finest flies for fishing, yet, since my cold weather stay here in Idaho Falls. Listening to John Turk, last Sat., tie, and describe the "trigger" features of a fly that he has witnessed as a guide on the river everyday, was priceless. I am armed, and ready, when the weather changes!
