Hey everyone, I hope you all are getting your lines wet lately. Fished at
Lake Lenore on Friday at the north end with about six other guys and the
fishing was great. Many many fish had sore lips when the last guy and I
left about 7:00 P.M. There was no wind at all which made it a very
comfortable experience and the only time I fished for any length without it.
The fish were a bunch of two to three pounders that were quite dark with an
occasional brighter fish. Not even a look at a large fish like this lake
used to be known for but an improvement over last year. I also fished Lenice
on Saturday and even though the fishing has slowed down since the opener the
fishing was still great. The game wardens made there presence known again
this weekend, and according to them the vandals and violators know it, the
game officers are checking the area daily and have caught a few people
fishing not playing by the rules, and no reports of vandalism this year so
far. Good to see those guys. The most productive method for both lakes were
little black chronomids.

Tight lines
Patrick
