In all fairness, it's extremely easy to make a logo these days. The one I made was a single color clipart to which I added a second color background and a text box. In my opinion, a logo should be simple, have no more than two or three colors and have high contrast so it can be recognized from a greater distance. It does help if you have a program like Microsoft Publisher.
