Kent, Here,s my two bits worth. I'm assuming, of course, that you plan on
having at least two impartial observers looking over your shoulder as you
tabulate the final results. But be thankful that you don't have improperly
punched chads to deal with.
1. Woolly Bugger or variation - Usually in olive or black. Size 10 or 12.
2. Madam X - Great fly for late summer and fall. Good in streams and even
alpine
lakes. My most fun fly to fish.
3. Parachute Adams and Adams Irresistible - Covers most mayflies and many
other surface bugs.
4. G. R. Hare"s Ear or Lightning Bug- Usually small and weighted.
5. Brown Rubber Leg Stonefly - With bead head and weighted.
6. Stimulator or Elk Hair Caddis
Did you notice how I cleverly inserted a couple extra flies into my list of
six? That might help explain why my fly boxes are always bulging with seldom
used but still important flies like the Black Ant or Water Boatman. Thanks
for the poll Kent. Bob
