About 5 years ago I was at Lenore with my Father in Law and his brother.  The wind was 
howling and I just couldn't my fly down deep enough to the fish.  It was early March 
and the fish were hunkered down on the bottom.  My FIL's brother had a red hook on a 
spinning reel and dropped it over board with a weight. He pounded the fish with it all 
day long. Who would have tought a simple red hook would have been so successful.
