Patrick,

You may be a little early for the good traveling sedge periods. It's usually the end
of June, first part of July that the hatches get going.

Now.. I fished Hihium last year starting the 13th or 17th of July. It was a cooler
spring last year and we hit sporadic traveler action. Some members of this BB fished
Hihium about a week earlier than I did and hit lots better fishing.

I had good sedge fishing at Peterhope on June 24th last year.

If you really are planning on fishing as early as you claim, you should try the lower
elevation lakes as the hatches will start there first.

Hihium has good sized fish. Peterhope...smaller.. at least last year.

A BC fishing guide for sale in most fly shops would prove invaluable and it's only
about $10.

My only regret from last years trip... leaving Hihium and thinking I could find better
fishing at other lakes.

You could try other lakes and fish chronies and do real good the first half of June.
Just a thought.

Were you fishing from shore at Lake Lenore? I have a 3 day weekend coming up and told
my bride I'd be fishing. (She didn't balk) I thought I'd try Lenore for starters.
