Just returned from the fly shop and John behind the counter fished the same
stretch of the Henry's Fork that I did yesterday. His itinerary went like
this..I called and got a shuttle for 3:30 PM. When I put in, all the guides
had left and were gone. I used a dry and a small, caddis dropper(of course
I made him show me the flies he used) and caught a bunch, almost every cast
in that first run. Later, I switched to an X Caddis and caught a bunch on
dries....never saw another boat and I took out at the next bridge
downstream, 2 miles, at 8:00PM. (the shuttle is only $10 for that distance
also) I was one of those, launch early boats, that all looked like they
were on their last legs about 2:00 PM and nothing going on but a bad
sunburn. Always excited about next time. Jere
