Thought I'd let the Washatonians in on what is coming to your area in the way of retail outlet....Sportsman's Warehouse. I hangout in both places, flyshops and the Warehouse over here in Idaho Falls, but these Warehouse's are somethin else. They are huge and are all setup the same. I think there are 6 of them in Idaho and Utah and headquarters is in Salt Lake City. You walk in the front doors and there is a big, info reader board on fishing updates, then, inside, there are big Centers for camping, hunting, fishing, flyfishing, etc. Wildlife art, clothing, knife center, incredible layout and they are well staffed with knowledgable people. The pricing is very good. There are somethings that are fair trade items such as certain fly lines and you don't see Sage in the store, but there is a wealth of flytying materials, rods, reels at very good prices. I get excited just touring the place and take people down to see it if they have never been in one. There are two coming to Washington State; one in Spokane and one in Puyallup. Here, the fly fishing area is staffed by "X" guides and they know their stuff. Weather has turned "wintery" over here and has postponed my Clark Fork trip, but will extend the summer in most areas. The Big Hole area received 30" of snow last week! I was expecting the big, trout flies, they call them in some quarters over here, to be several weeks early due to the warmer reservoir water, doesn't look, now, like it will happen early. They should start, just north of me, about July 1 as in a normal year. Jere
