Another source of (at least generic) information is John Shewey's excellent
book "Northwest Fly Fishing - Trout and Beyond". Shewey seems to have
fished for everything - everywhere. The book covers the field from
bottomfish to shad, but the chapters "Saltwater Bottomfish" and "Redtail
Surfperch" should give you the information you need to get started exploring
the coastal waters of the Peninsula. I'd also call some bait & tackle
places near to where you'll be staying to get the scoop on seasons and
locations.
