Thanks for the excellant report.

I haven't tried one of the Ultra St. Croix rods yet.  The only difference in 
quality I noticed on some of their older models is that they didn't dampen 
the vibration as well as my Sage rods.  How does the new Ultra compare in 
that category?  I am afraid Sage has raised their prices beyond my budget in 
recent years so I am in the hunt for a new favorite brand and appreciate your 
feedback.
