I spent most of my childhood summers down 1 beach from you ... bells beach.
Fishing isn't what it used to be ... that is for sure.
You might get a small blackmouth or a cutthroat casting from a boat in the cove
between the two beaches ... south of the spit ... at high tide ... we used to
troll spoons there ... but I also caught a magnificent cutthroat on a tube fly
there.
Look for surface action ... .... My brother has caught some when he saw they
were "in" in front of our cabin (the blue/grey one on the first point south of
you towards langley.)
now don't get me wrong .. but this is not a high fish count deal ... you will be
very lucky to get one .. but you never know.
You could also consider casting a line around baby island ... but the seals may
have chased most of those fish away.

For lakes ... go to Lone Lake ... not far from where you are.
