I have been reading about all the unsuccessful salt trips you guys have been participating in lately and felt that I haven't done my part to contribute to the skunkings. So, throwing all common sense to the wind, I headed out to Amber Lake this evening while it was still 93 degrees and got absolutely skunked. Nada, not even a bump. The fish were actually rising a bit to midges when I first arrived at 6:30. The water was like glass and I was looking forward the evening hatch feeding frenzy. Then a bunch of nasty looking clouds blew through headed towards Idaho and the wind pretty much killed the evening rise. Even at dusk it was still blowing lightly. Not much activity on the water so I decided to take my whoopin like a man and head for home. One of these years I need to make it over to the West side and hook up with some of you guys for some salt fishing. It sounds very challenging and like a lot of fun. Mike W. Spangle, WA
