Was out at the point Sunday morning on the water by 7 AM. There was a nice tide line but out about 50 yds. Lots of boats out most of them down my Mukilteo (SP?). There was a line now within reach at about 7:10 AM started fishing there and saw about 3 or 4 five to six pounders jumping out of the water. These fish of course were just out of casting range!!! about an hour later I saw another 2 or 3 fish jump within casting range but could not get them to hit my fly. The sun was now coming up over the hillside and I knew the bite would not last much longer. I changed flies a couple of times but still without any hits. Maybe I was just not holding my mouth right or something. ;-) Anyhow I did see a couple of boats land a fish or two, which looked to be of some size. I finally hooked up with....a flounder! Oh well at least I was able to tempt some sort of fish. I reeled in and called it a day around 9:30. There were two other folks on the point with me but did not see them have any action either.
