1. Hyde Drift Boats is having a tremendous sale on their drift boats right now through the end of August. They make an absolutely gorgeous boat, and if you have always wanted one like I have, the price is the best I have ever seen. Call Steve Hyde at 1-800-444-4933. (or e-mail me and I can tell you more about them.) 2. Fished Picnic Point last night. Fished in a kayak just outside the scum line. Right after dusk a good size pod of mature silvers started showing around us. One grab on a pink clouser/slime line and then the park ranger yelled at us to come in as she was locking the gate. Those folks are serious about closing the park on time. Saw the fish that Sean rolled, it was a great fish. (Nice meeting you Sean) 3. W. side Bainbridge Island two mornings last weekend. We fished by boat off Fay Bainbridge, Skiff Point and Yeomalt Point. Lots of bait, saw lots of fish. Early mornings and low tides seem to be the best? Felt like Edgar Martinez on a batting slump. Had multiple grabs, strikes, follows, passes, and wakes on pink and chartreuse clousers, and white and grizzly gurglers - including one large and maliciously malevolent (to my ego that is) coho which hit my clouser twice right in front of me and then a third time after it was quickly thrown back at him - but only landed two fish.
