You could take your pontoon boat out to Bayley Lake, in the Little Pend O'rille (sp?) Reserve. The people at the "All Sports" place there in town can tell you how to find it, or you can find it in the WA Gazeteer Topo map book, or in Flyfishing in Washington. Even if it hasn't lost the fine green algae yet, there are plenty of good, big feisty Rainbows underneath, and they will come up for grasshopper patterns, too. Pretty area, few fishermen, acrobatic fish.
I haven't had time to post a report on fishing that lake a couple of weeks ago , but had it to myself the Thursday after the terrorist attack and had time then to comtemplate what a great country this is and how fortunate we are to live here. We have plenty to criticize in our government, but they do get a whole lot right, including setting aside some great places for us to fish.
