Since I have kids who live in Utah, I fish the Provo quite often.  However it can be a zoo since it so easily accessible.  Folks will literally pick a spot in the river and just stand there for hours until a bite starts.  I don't really enjoy fishing in the canyon anymore.  However, if you go downstream a bit and fish the section which goes through the Orem/Provo actual town, you can really pick up lots of fish and some pretty nice ones at that.  You won't really run into much pressure.  Most of the river has access to it thru town.  Try it, you'll like it.  Strawberry is great, but can be very fickle.  It is also a long way to go after work.  The Ogden River below Pine View Dam is pretty good, but is all pocket water.  The Weber is also good, but access to some sections is difficult.  Hope ! this helps.
