I lived there fifteen years ago.  Access was real poor,
except down along the mouth all land was private.  

There are big browns in the river.  Every spring during
high flow there would be kids walking back to their homes
with nice looking browns.  I floated the river during the
fall and don't ever remember seeing working fish.  Of course,
most of my attention was focused on shooting ducks.

There are lots of great places to fish around Colville that
other than the kids don't remember anybody that fished the
river.  

Besides remember their brown trout.....you know a carp 
that doesn't know how to fight!!! okay...jump.

Its been yrs. but I used to fish the Colville river around Chewela (sp).  It
used to anyway hold big browns.  Thats about all I can recall sorry.
