Click the links in the ID field to
view the details for a report including hatch notes, additional stream notes,
etc. Better examples are later in the list. Many of my early entries
did not contain hatch data as I was still developing the data schema for the
tool. So click entries from later dates.
Feel
free to add entries - if they are just test entries or whatever
I can always delete them.
Don't
be afraid to click stuff - you can't delete anything so just
go for it with this interface - there are filter features built into
the little funnel icons so you can change between =, >,
>=, contains, etc, etc, for any given field. Just type matching data
into the field... clicking on field headers resorts the list...
click directly on the text in the date and location fields to
filter for a specific date or location...
I
thought I'd follow up since I've seen a few users on and off and no new entries
yet ;-) Once there are a lot of entries this tool will show it's real
value in being able to extract hatch data for certain waters under specific
conditions... etc.
All
feedback is welcome. Thanks!
Jim

Subject: Online Fishing Journal (public beta official launch)The iONTech Online Fishing Journal public beta is officially launched. Please bookmark:System Requirements:Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XPInternet Explorer 5.01 or higherThe help files are not complete, however the interface is extremely simple. The key thing is to explore the interface by mousing over things - tool tips exist for all active page elements so you should be able to discover all of the features without help files. The "Journal Help" link is active on the summary page and opens the help window which has an email link in it for now so that you can send questions, suggestions, etc, to me. I will respond to all questions and suggestions and encourage emailing me so that I can add to a FAQ page. I also welcome suggestions and feature requests. If you get errors in the process of using the interface I appreciate receiving the actual text of the error dialog that appears and what platform and browser version you were using, as well as the steps to reproduce the error. Some time in the near future I will be creating an advanced search page so that more of the fields can be used for searching - currently there is a simple flitering feature on the summary page only. The advanced search page will allow much more robust and specific searches, e.g. specific hatches, keywords in any text field, etc. Thanks for your interest and as always,-tight lines-Jim Speaker
